The community of Ulm, on the Danube, was burned during the Black Death.

An imperial city and one of the wealthiest in Swabia, Ulm subsequently readmitted Jews, then expelled them permanently in the mid-fifteenth century: the destruction of the plague was therefore not the end of this Jewish community, but its first collapse.
