The community of Ingolstadt was destroyed during the Black Death.

The dukes of Bavaria had, like the Imperial cities, obtained in advance the forfeiture of Jewish property; the destruction there was a fiscal operation as much as a riot.

Bavarian Judaism was only partially reconstituted after this wave, and it was expelled from the duchy in the middle of the following century, with the confiscation of synagogues and cemeteries.
