The community of Ansbach was destroyed during the Black Death, a generation after having been struck by the Rintfleisch bands.

The burgraves of Nuremberg, who became margraves of Ansbach, called Jews back in the following century in exchange for payment; Franconian Judaism thus reconstituted itself, charter by charter, always revocable.
