描述
White ceremonial garment worn by the married couple in the Ashkenazi tradition, symbol of purity and reminder of the shroud, linked to fasting on the wedding day. On the bride's side, it sometimes took the form of an embroidered cape or veil. Preserved afterwards, it could be reused on Yom Kippur, uniting the rites of marriage and penitence.
