Silver Omer Counting Plate from Germany

Silver panel fitted with dials or numbered shutters to display the current day of the Omer count. The repousse frame bears rinceaux, columns and the blessing of the counting. A prestige piece of prosperous Ashkenazi households, it replaced wooden or paper models from the same period with a precious object.
