Notable d'origine espagnole ayant fui l'expulsion de 1492 puis celle du Portugal en 1497 ; installé à Azemmour où il servit comme rabbin et dirigeant communautaire, engagé dans des missions diplomatiques avec les autorités portugaises. Ses fils lui succédèrent.
