געגנט: Zvhil (Novohrad-Volynskyï, Ukraine), puis Jérusalem

Fils de Rabbi Mordechaï, il devint rebbe de Zvhil en 1901. Devant la soviétisation de sa ville, il émigra en 1926 à Jérusalem avec son petit-fils Mordechaï, reconstruisant la cour hassidique de Zvhil en Terre d'Israël. Réputé pour son humilité (anav), sa tombe au mont des Oliviers est un lieu de pèlerinage.
