Rabbin et enseignant réputé né à Rabat dans la première moitié du XIXe siècle. Bien que riche, il fut exempté des impôts communautaires pour se consacrer entièrement à l'étude de la Torah, sur intervention du rabbin Yossef Elmaleh de Mogador. Il fut ensuite appelé comme rabbin par la communauté de Gibraltar.
