Le plus important imprimeur de la famille Soncino. Il fit des voyages, notamment en France, pour rassembler des manuscrits à imprimer et se dit d'un grand secours aux exilés d'Espagne et du Portugal. Contraint de quitter l'Italie, il installa ses presses à Salonique (1527) puis à Constantinople (à partir de 1530), où il mourut en 1534.
