אברהם כלפון
געגנט: Tripoli (Libye), né à Livourne, mort à Safed
Né à Livourne dans la famille Khalfon, dirigeants de la communauté juive de Tripoli, il fut lui-même chef de la communauté de Tripoli (1778-1795) avant de s'installer à Safed. Érudit, décisionnaire et poète liturgique, il rédigea une histoire des Juifs de Tripoli à partir d'archives gouvernementales, de registres rabbiniques et de documents de la gueniza.
