Ville piémontaise du Montferrat (province d'Alessandria), Acqui Terme a abrité une communauté juive avec ghetto et synagogue documentés aux XVIIe–XVIIIe siècles, sous les ducs de Savoie puis les Habsbourg. La communauté fut parmi celles qui bénéficièrent des édits d'émancipation napoléoniens.
