Emmanuel Levinas

Frans-Litouwse filosoof, een van de grootste denkers van de 20e eeuw. Zijn werk (Totaliteit en Oneindigheid, Anders dan wezen) plaatst ethiek en verantwoordelijkheid tegenover de ander aan de basis van de filosofie. Zijn talmudische lezingen vernieuwen de dialoog tussen westerse filosofie en Joodse gedachte.
