Considérée comme la fondatrice du théâtre yiddish moderne (« mère du théâtre yiddish »), mère d'Ida Kamińska. Vers 1924 elle commença ses mémoires, publiés en feuilleton à titre posthume dans le journal varsovien Moment (1926) sous le titre Derner un blumen: der veg fun mayn lebn.
