Steel city in the Radom district whose ghetto is emptied in autumn, the population led to Treblinka.

Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, a steel town in the Holy Cross Mountains, was home to a large community employed in the steelworks and trade. The occupation established a closed district there that received Jews from the surrounding towns. In the autumn, the population was gathered in the square and sorted: those deemed fit were sent to the labor camp adjoining the factory, while the others were taken to the station and transported to Treblinka. The sick were shot in the district. The labor camp was maintained until the following summer, then its occupants were transferred to Auschwitz.
