City north of Cracow whose Jewish population is transported in autumn to Bełżec.

Miechów, between Cracovie and Kielce, was home to an ancient community whose presence had long been contested by the town's bourgeoisie. The occupation established a closed quarter there that received Jews from the district's small towns as well as those expelled from Cracovie. In the autumn, the liquidation operation gathered the inhabitants in the square; the sick and the children were shot, the others marched on foot to the railway line and transported to Bełżec. A labor camp was maintained for a few weeks for the men employed in sorting the abandoned belongings, then dissolved in turn.
