Hasidic town of Eastern Galicia, Komarno sees its community gathered in front of the synagogue then taken to the nearby city, part of it being shot along the way.

Komarno, a town in eastern Galicia south of the province's main city, was home to a community of artisans and small traders gathered around its wooden synagogue. Under the occupation, it was subjected to census-taking and taxation, its men rounded up for the region's labor camps, and then all the families were assembled and led in stages toward the convoy departure points. Those who attempted to hide in farms and woods were hunted down for months.
