The community of the old fortress in Podolia is led to the Kamianyi Maidan wood and shot; some craftsmen, retained for the workshops, will be killed in turn in autumn.

Bar, in Podolia, had a ghetto where the Jews of the town and surrounding villages had been gathered. In August, the greater part of its inhabitants were led out of the town and shot at the edge of pits; a small number of craftsmen were spared for a few months only. The community, attested in the region for centuries, then disappeared entirely.
