Former Caffa, where the community traced back to the time of Genoese trading posts, Feodossia sees its Jews summoned, stripped and shot at the edge of the town during the weeks preceding the landing.
Feodossia, a former Genoese trading post turned commercial port, was home to long-established Jewish and Krymchak communities. Both were registered, summoned under the pretext of resettlement, then led out of the city and shot in the antitank ditches.
