Jewish houses and shops sacked, several inhabitants massacred

Yarmolyntsi, a market town in western Podolia, was struck by the wave of pogroms of the civil war. Jewish homes and shops were ransacked, their goods carried off, and their inhabitants beaten. Several were massacred in the course of the looting. Reports gathered from survivors describe bands arriving on horseback, holding the town for a few hours, and departing laden, with no force intervening.
