the Jewish town pillaged, several of its inhabitants killed
Mizoch, a Jewish townlet in southern Volhynia, was pillaged during the civil war by bands roaming the district. Houses were broken into, belongings carried off, and several inhabitants killed during the sack. The town, which lived by the market and the trades, took years to recover; it was to meet a far worse fate during the German occupation, two decades later.
