Hermanivka, dans la province de Kiev, fut saccagée par les insurgés et sa communauté juive tuée en partie. Le bourg appartenait à la zone où opéraient les chefs de bande de la rive droite, qui y levaient des contributions et y recrutaient. Les rapports d'enquête décrivent une attaque conduite sans résistance possible, la localité n'ayant ni garnison ni autodéfense organisée. Les survivants d'Hermanivka gagnèrent les villes voisines.
