Margrave Frederick II had the Jews of the entire margraviate of Brandenburg arrested on the same day, their property seized, then expelled them.

The method is that of the Wiener Gesera, repeated in cold blood and without prior accusation: the prince first takes the persons and the debts, then negotiates the departure. The expelled made their way to neighboring Poland, whose kings offered privileges to the Jews of the Empire.
