Description
Lamp whose eight lights are small blown-glass cups filled with oil and wick, set on a metal or wooden support. The clear or colored glass reveals the flame and the oil, heir to Venetian glassmaking. Common in Italy, it combines fragility, transparency and the tradition of kindling with olive oil.
