Central European wooden slide-marker Omer calendar

Wooden tablet fitted with a slot and a sliding marker moved each evening to mark the forty-nine days of the Omer count. The numerals and the blessing Lispor ha-omer are painted or carved. A household object of the season between Passover and Shavuot, it made the ritual count visible in the Ashkenazi home.
