Hebrew micrography (figured masorah)
Enrich the Great Bookמיקרוגרפיה עברית
Description
Micrography is a Jewish art of drawing motifs — interlace, animals, architecture — out of tiny lines of text, often the Masoretic notes of the Bible. Born in the medieval East and then Europe, it avoids figuration by turning the writing itself into image.
