Description
Tubular case of hammered, pierced brass affixed to the doorpost to shelter the mezuzah parchment. The cut-out arabesques, stars and sometimes the letter shin reveal the divine name Shaddai. Workshops in Fez and Meknes favoured a patinated brass, nailed at both ends.
