Copper Eternal Lamp (Ner Tamid) from Morocco
Enrich the Great Bookנר תמיד מנחושת ממרוקו
Description
Hanging lamp burning permanently before the holy ark of Moroccan synagogues. Coppersmiths made these of pierced copper or brass mounts, often shaped as a lantern or star, suspended by chains and holding a glass cup of floating oil.
