Description
Mosaic panel on the floor of a synagogue bearing the framed names of donors, sometimes accompanied by a zodiac or ritual symbols. Examples are found at Hammat Tiberias and elsewhere.
Significance
It reveals the organization of communal patronage and the iconography of the Byzantine synagogues.
