Box, often of silver and sometimes in the shape of a citron, intended to preserve and protect the etrog (citron) during the festival of Sukkot. Some examples are padded to prevent damage.
Significance
It protects one of the four ritual plant species whose integrity is essential to fulfilling the mitzvah of Sukkot.
