Description
Standing lamp on three feet, with a central shaft carrying a row of eight spouts and a raised shamash, in the style of the Jewish silversmiths of Baghdad and Basra. Repoussé and chased work spreads palmettes, scrollwork and bands of Hebrew inscription. Some pieces echo the curved-branch silhouette of the menorah.
