Enrich the Great Book

דף קיר ליולדת מודפס, מרכז אירופה

Description

Sheet posted on the walls of the new mother's room to protect her and her child in the days after birth. The text combines Psalm 121, angel names and the formula banishing Lilith, often within an engraved frame. Produced in quantity by Jewish printers, these cheap sheets replaced costly handwritten amulets.
