Description
Printed paper flag mounted on a staff, its tip set with a hollowed apple holding a small lit candle. Waved by children during the hakafot, it joins the festive image with a symbolic flame. A custom widespread in Central and Eastern Europe, witnessing the place of children in the joy of Simchat Torah.
