Oversized ceremonial ring, often surmounted by a miniature building evoking the Temple or the home, bearing the inscription mazal tov. It served at the moment of the union, not for daily wear.
Significance
It materializes the act of acquisition (kiddushin) of Jewish marriage and the hope for the rebuilding of Jerusalem.
