Galician papercut Sukkah decoration

Description
Large symmetrical papercut hung on the walls of the Sukkot booth. Lions, eagles, menorahs, vases and blessing inscriptions are cut with a knife in a folded sheet, sometimes heightened with color. An Ashkenazi folk art of Galicia and Poland, it adorned the sukkah with images of the Temple and verses of the festival.
