Description
Cushion on which the child is presented at the brit milah, of velvet embroidered with flowers and verses in the Persian taste. Distinct from Ottoman models, it uses saturated colours and locally inspired floral motifs. A display piece of the ceremony, it could be embroidered for the occasion or handed down within the family.
