Description
Small charity box of carved olivewood, engraved with views of Jerusalem, the letter tsadi or the word tsedakah, sold to pilgrims and collectors (meshulachim). Brought home, it gathered alms for the institutions of the Holy Land. A devotional souvenir and at once an object of mitzvah.
