Viennese silver Cup of Elijah with biblical scenes

Large silver Cup of Elijah whose repoussé body illustrates episodes from the book of Kings or the Seder. The foot and rim are chased with scrollwork and Hebrew inscriptions. Made in Central European workshops, it marked the moment of opening the door to the prophet during the night of Passover.
