Description

Pair of finials topping the staves of the Torah scroll, called rimonim. Italian silversmiths gave them tiered architectural forms, with pierced turrets, balusters and domes, hung with bells that ring as the scroll is moved. The refined silverwork, sometimes gilded, reflects the great goldsmithing tradition of the Italian cities.
