Ritual bouquet of the festival of Sukkot composed of the palm branch (lulav), myrtle twigs (hadas), willow (arava), and the citron (etrog). They are waved in the six directions during the service.
Significance
These four species fulfill a major biblical commandment of Sukkot and figure frequently in ancient Jewish art.
