"Kallah" cup for the seven blessings, silver, Germany

Wine cup used under the huppah for the seven nuptial blessings (sheva berakhot) and then at the festive meals of the week. Sometimes engraved with blessing inscriptions, it belonged to the marriage kit of the community or the family. Distinct from the Kiddush cup by its matrimonial function, it could be kept as a memento of the union.
