Description
Headpiece worn by the Maghrebi Jewish bride at the wedding ceremonies, made of hinged gold elements, pearls and stones. Depending on the town it accompanies the embroidered grand costume and forehead jewellery. The diadem, often lent or handed down, displayed the family's wealth and the status conferred on the young wife.
