Description
Large circular dish of tinned copper, engraved with bands of Hebrew inscription and geometric interlace in Maghrebi style. The center sometimes bears a six-pointed star or a hamsa, and the rim the names of the Seder foods. Made by the coppersmiths of Fez and Meknes, it served at the heart of Judeo-Moroccan family tables.
