Description
Heavy ankle rings worn by the Yemenite bride, sometimes fitted with bells, completing the imposing bridal adornment. Worked in repoussé and granulation by Jewish silversmiths, they were among the jewels making up the dowry. Their jingle and weight signalled the young bride's status during the celebration.
