Description
Personal stamp with a matrix engraved in intaglio and mirror-image of the owner's Hebrew name, set as a ring or on a silver handle. It was impressed in ink or wax to sign contracts, letters and ketubbot. Sephardic Jewish merchants of the Empire used it routinely in trade.
