Description
Banner of silk or velvet embroidered in gold thread, carried during the hakafot of Simchat Torah in Maghrebi synagogues. The decoration spreads Torah crowns, lions, stars and festival verses. More durable than the Ashkenazi paper flags, it was kept and reused year after year by the community.
