Description
Silver amulet hung on the cradle or the infant's neck, engraved with divine names, the angels Senoy, Sansenoy and Semangelof and the name Shaddai. Often shaped as a hand or a round plaque, it protected child and mother. Jewish silversmiths of Fez and southern Morocco made them in quantity.
