Cylindrical case of repoussé and chased brass, decorated with rosettes, interlace and flowers in Maghrebi style, sheltering the Scroll of Esther. The lid opens and a side handle allows the parchment to be unrolled for the reading of Purim. The work of Jewish coppersmiths of Fez and Marrakesh, joining ritual function with local metalwork.
