Description
Persian marriage contract whose decoration borrows from Iranian book arts: central medallions, floral scrolls, birds and borders in the manner of carpets and miniatures. The central text is framed by cartouches of verses blessing the couple. Persian ketubot are distinguished by their saturated colours and highly ornate symmetrical compositions.
