Domestic brass tsedakah box from the Maghreb

Small charity box kept at home, of engraved brass with a coin slot and a hanging loop. Alms were placed in it before the Sabbath or festivals, often for Rabbi Meir Baal HaNess or the community's poor. Decorated with hamsas and blessing inscriptions.
