Description
Printed poster to hang in the sukkah, presenting the seven biblical guests (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, David) with the welcoming prayers. The brightly colored chromolithograph, bordered with ornament, popularized the custom of the ushpizin. Spread by the Jewish print shops of Europe to adorn the festive booth.
